Our Impact

Making a difference for over 20 years in Baker City & Surrounding Areas

At the Northeast Oregon Compassion Center, we are committed to transforming lives through hope, faith, and action. Since 2000, we’ve been a safe haven for those in need—providing essential support through food, counseling, and community services. In these ways, we labor and strive to meet the growing needs of our community, especially in challenging economic times, through a network of dedicated services and partnerships with local churches and organizations.

Our Programs: Compassion In Action

Benevolence.

Intervention.

Counseling.

At the Northeast Oregon Compassion Center, our programs are designed to meet the diverse needs of our community with empathy and dedication. From providing essential resources like food to offering comprehensive counseling services, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of those we serve. Our programs include benevolence services for veterans and families in need, counseling and support for those facing personal challenges, and initiatives like Safe Families for Children, which offers a secure environment for vulnerable kids. Every service we offer is a step towards building a stronger, more compassionate community.

Our Mission: Opening Doors, So Christ Can Change Lives

Over the years, the Northeast Oregon Compassion Center has expanded on our mission. We believe that every person deserves dignity, respect, and the opportunity to thrive. While we cannot be all things to all people, we affirm that we should use every gift we receive to minister to others as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. By investing in our community, we seek to create lasting change that goes beyond immediate needs. We strive to meet people where they are and walk with them on their journey to a better future.

Our programs are designed to be holistic, addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our clients. Whether through our food bank, counseling services, or community projects, we are committed to being a beacon of light for any and every time of darkness.
