Veteran Support
At NOCC, we honor the sacrifices made by our veterans by partnering with the Baker County Veterans Service Office. Our Veteran Support program provides case management and assistance for those who have served in the US military.. Whether it’s connecting veterans with essential services or offering a listening ear, we are committed to ensuring that our veterans receive the respect and care they deserve.
Food Bank
Our Food Bank is a vital resource for individuals and families facing food insecurity. Open every Thursday by appointment, our Food Bank provides nutritious food to those in need with a variety of items as made available by donors ranging from private individuals to wholesale commercial partners. We ask that appointments be made by Wednesday at noon to help us manage resources and ensure that everyone receives the support they need. Our goal is not just to provide food, but to offer hope and dignity to those who come through our doors.
Firewood Ministry
Recognizing the importance of staying warm during the cold months, our Firewood Ministry offers firewood at a fair rate to those in need. As a recognized vendor for vouchers from Community Connections, we have historically prioritized serving veterans, widows, and persons with disabilities, but firewood is available for all who need it. By providing this essential resource, we help reduce winter’s chill so those in our community can heat their homes safely and affordably.
Service Projects
Our Service Projects are designed to address the practical needs of our community, particularly for those who are unable to perform home repairs themselves. In collaboration with Dan Gerig and 8 Days of Hope, we provide light domestic repairs, such as building wheelchair ramps, that can make a significant difference in the lives of our clients. These projects are more than just repairs—they are acts of love and service that restore dignity and independence.
Cribs For Kids
In partnership with the Baker County District Attorney’s Office, our Cribs for Kids program ensures that every baby in our community has a safe place to sleep. We provide cribs to families in need, giving them peace of mind and helping to promote the health and safety of their newborns. This service is a critical part of our mission to support families and nurture the youngest members of our community.
